HVAC Commissioning is the process of testing and adjusting installed heating and cooling equipment to ensure that it is performs in accordance with building design and manufacturer specifications. In it’s simplest form, commissioning is all about making sure a home’s heating and cooling equipment is functioning as intended, and performing optimally.
Why HVAC Commissioning matters.
While the commissioning process can cover a wide spectrum of analysis, the early stages generally begin with a review of the home’s heating and cooling design specifications. Specifications reviewed will typically involve, Manual J or load calculations, equipment selection, duct design, and air flow rates. Following the review of specifications, on-site assessments and testing is performed.
On-site assessments and testing are performed to verify the quality of installation and ensure installations have met the required design specifications.
